Privacy Policy
Short version: we collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and our interactive tools run entirely in your browser.
1. What we collect
First Pull is designed to work without accounts or tracking profiles. We may collect:
- Messages you send us — if you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, and message so we can reply.
- Newsletter signups — if you subscribe to The Sunday Shot, we store your email address to send it. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
- Basic analytics — we may use privacy-respecting analytics to see which pages are popular (page views, referrers). This data is aggregated and never tied to your identity.
2. What we don't collect
Our tools — the savings calculator, machine finder quiz, shot troubleshooter, and setup cost builder — run entirely in your browser. Your answers and results never leave your device and are never sent to our servers.
3. Cookies
We use a minimal number of cookies: ones required for the site to function, and — once advertising is enabled — cookies set by our ad partners to serve and measure ads. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site's guides and tools will still work.
4. Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer may set a cookie to attribute any purchase to First Pull so we can earn a commission. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
5. How we use your data
We use the data we collect only to operate the site: replying to messages, sending the newsletter you asked for, and understanding which content helps readers. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing.
6. Data retention
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Aggregated analytics are retained for up to 26 months.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@firstpull.coffee and we'll respond within 30 days.
8. Children
First Pull is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).
9. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our practices change, and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted here for at least 30 days.
